In a shocking incident, a 28-year-old man, identified as Sagar Sharma, jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery and was immediately taken into police custody. This unexpected turn of events has brought his parents, Roshan Lal Sharma and Rani Sharma, into the spotlight. According to the police, Sharma resides in Ramnagar under the jurisdiction of Manak Nagar police station in Lucknow.

According to family members, Sagar had travelled to Delhi on Monday to participate in a protest. While his family was aware of his views, they were unaware of how he managed to obtain a pass for the Lok Sabha gallery. Sagar’s mother expressed her belief in her son’s good intentions, stating, “I know my son, his intentions can’t be wrong.”

Sagar is known for his social media posts that often include quotes from revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh and Che Guevara. In one of his posts, he cautions against distractions such as Bollywood, cricket, and bigotry, quoting Bhagat Singh: “Efforts are being made to blind the youth who have to lead the country tomorrow.”

Originally from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, the Sharma family had briefly moved to Delhi’s Vasant Vihar, where Roshan Lal worked as a carpenter. However, they returned to Lucknow in 2013.

Sagar, born in Delhi in 1996, completed his higher secondary education from Bhupati Singh Memorial Inter College in Lucknow. Unfortunately, financial constraints prevented him from pursuing further studies. In 2018, he went to Bangalore to work at a flour mill but had to return to Lucknow in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic. For the past three months, he has been driving a rented e-rickshaw.

Upon learning of Sharma’s involvement in the incident, neighbors and journalists gathered at his house on Wednesday evening.
